So, in the middle of everything today, we ran across a hellaciously distressed momma mallard and a bunch of her baby ducks that had fallen down a sewer grate. Another guy was already trying to fish them out, so my friend and I called animal control before we tried to fish the rest of them out. When Animal Control got there, we had all of them out and the mother duck quacking very happily. I was surprised - none of us got snapped at or hurt. I was even holding onto a bag at one point that had all of them in it and she just watched me.

I love how the duck is perched on the guy’s butt

The above are…”highlights” from Rob Liefeld’s script Icons, about the rise of Image comics in the mid 90’s. Rob apparently wrote the script in three days, which totally doesn’t show whatsoever. Nope this is class writing right here, Liefeld at his very best, like we’ve never seen him before. I think he has a real winner on his hands and I for on-

Oh God I can’t….I can’t do this…not with a straight face.

Click right here for the full excerpts, as well as Rob’s hand picked dream cast. You’ll never guess who he picked to portray him…

Humble, ain’t he?

I am going to end up reading all of this, aren’t I?

Today Jojo draws Tony Stark’s Mark 33 Armor.
Hey everyone, we’re back! So I saw Iron Man 3 (Jojo did not) and without spoiling anything, there are a lot of Iron Man suits in that movie! Like, so many!
So I thought it’d be fun to tell Jojo the names of the new armor, and what they’re designed for, and see what she comes up with. I’ll have her keep drawing armors until we run out or I get bored. LET’S GO!
The Mark 33 is a fun one because they’re calling it the Silver Centurion, and it’s based on ol’ Shell Head’s 80s armor from the comics. I told Jojo what it was called and that Tony wore it in the 80s. So how’d she do?
Well, she made it silver, that’s easy, and she gave it big 80s shoulder pads, which crazily enough is correct. She told me she was going to give the armor a mullet but when she showed it to me, it had crazy long hair instead.
Her explanation was that when she drew the mullet it wasn’t very noticeable so she kept making the hair longer so people could see it.
That’s the kind of bold choice I’ve come to expect from Jojo, who is, as I constantly feel the need to remind people, a successful professional artist.

This blog is still the best.
